Sambucus nigra Black Lace

Height: 0,5–0,6 m

The burgundy-leaved elder is a deciduous shrub that grows to a height of about 2.5-3 m, adorned with burgundy foliage throughout the season. Its burgundy leaves are uniquely winged and compound, fan-like. Its small, pink, fragrant flowers bloom in early summer. Its fruit is a black berry, and birds love it. It likes a sunny or partially shaded spot and well-structured soil. Its water needs are medium. It can be planted as a solitary plant, but has a special effect in combination with other plants in the garden.
